It's kind of exciting doing the morning shift as you get to see the ovenight progress (although you do run the risk of being booted by the morning round as is the case right now).
This morning Will's girth is down to 36cm's. After a couple of days stable on 37 its great to see him going down again. He's also down to 2.66kg. Assuming he hasn't lost weight since he was born and that he hasn't out on weight either, that infers there isn't much fluid to go (says doctor Harry).
His feeding has also steadily improved. He took 40mls this morning and i'm about to give him a similar amount shortly. I am now quietly confident that they will take the drip out tomorrow. That is my prayer now.
They daily take out the nasal canular for periods of time to are how he goes. Apparantly when they do this, after a period of time, he starts to struggle with his breathing, so still some work to go there.
Its easy to be impatient, but we are now getting used to working on God's time. Definately a lesson in patience and trust.

We are continuing to pray for both Will and Isaac. Nice to have specific things to ask for (like the development of Will's lungs). We are also praying for Jack and Cleo, that they will know God's special love for them right now. And we're praying that God will continue to grant you all peace and patience as you wait on His timing for Will to go home. Love Lisa, Greg, Sam and Rachel
Great news Harry, I'm sure you and Jules are enjoying the movement in the happiness/worry meter.
Make sure Jules, Jack and Cleo know we think of them as often as we do you and Will (a lot). Our love to you all.
Val and Steve.
Harold and Julie, The news is wonderful and we praise God as Will makes each step forward continuing to pray with thanksgiving for the next one. I find it hard to know what to say if I was there I'd just give you a hug, so please consider yourselves hugged, Hugs for Jack and Cleo too, and, of course, for Will. Lots of love to each and every one of you from Mum and Dad. God bless you all. Mum.
Great news and more progress, as you say in God's time and how amazing every new moment has been for you guys and Will as he has gradually improved. I'm with you and am continuing to pray for ongoing improvement in Will's health and in your ongoing strength to cope.
Fantastic news on Will's continued progress. He is so cute, we love every picture. We will continue to pray and rejoice with each blog entry. Hearing about his decreased tummy and increased appetite is the highlight of our dragon boat holiday.
love,
Brett and Shannon
We are friends of Helen on the Gold Coast. The latest news just keeps getting better. You are all (especially Will) in our prayers.
It's great to hear such a wonderful news day by day. God has HIS own schedule for this little Wil. We for sure will continue to pray for this lovely angel. His appetite is quite good, even better than my little boy when he's at Wil's age. Keep it up, Wil !!!
