A big change in the level of support.

While we were sitting in the waiting room typing the last update, the senior doctors were doing their checkup on Will. When we returned to his crib we discovered that they had completely cut out the morphine and the had changed his breathing support completely. Now he breathes on his own and the machine supplements him if required (synchronised mode). This is a wonderful step forward. We are now praying that little Will fights on and takes over his own breathing completely. Praise God. In addition, we spoke to the doctor again who had spoken further to the senior radiologist. It would appear that the cyst is definately the result of the problem not the cause. It is therefore nothing to be worried about. The news therefore continues to be positive. As a small piece of trivia. The doctors have now assessed that excluding the rogue fluid, Will would have been born at 2.6kg's. In the old scale that's

That's fantastic. Sam was 2.3kg at 35 weeks, and all the Doctor's said that he would have been quite a good size if he'd gone to term, so comparatively, Will's a fairly good size, isn't he. Great news!

Dear Harry & Jules,

Thank you so much for your comment to our blog. I believe that part of the reason for what happened to Isaac and Rachel is so that God can teach Jong and I how to better pray for and support others, especially others in similar situations. So I wanted to let you know that Jong and I are continuing to pray for baby Will and your entire family, that the doctors will soon find out the causes so that they can help Will heal and recover quickly.

We hope Isaac and Will will get to meet and play with each other one of these days after they are both out of the hospital!

Blessings,

Sonia and Jong

Hi guys. I have a message from Sue Turner, who rang me because she saw I'd left a message - which she's been trying to do!!

She just wanted to let you know that she is also praying for you and Will and the whole situation.

Ain't life funny? I had no idea you (Harry) and Sue were related - we have known each other for YEARS... we even have the same singing teacher!

And so the prayer circle widens... bless you guys. Will look up Sonia and Jong's blog, as you suggest.
