Back to work now - getting phone updates for the morning
I've now returned to work, so I'm now getting morning updates from Jules via the phone. I'll be leaving work early while Will is still in hospital so I'll still get some good time with him in the afternoon (actually the 5pm is the best shift - get to feed him, also get to meet the Doctor during his round).
So, here's the update. Tummy size still 37cm, however, he has lost a little weight (now down to 2.7kg), which, given his increase in eating, is positive news as it probably reflects the further loss of fluid.
This morning they've bumped up the feeding to 25mls and he's been processing the 20mls no problems overnight which is also good news.
Both Jules and I have now had opportuntiy to take Will out of his crib and feed him while holding him, which just makes the whole thing feel a lot better (and a little more interactive). It was the highlight of my day yesterday.
Sorry about the short update - am catching up on a weeks missed work.

Great to hear the continued news of improvements, and how fantastic to have been able to hold him and feed him for both you and Jules. Its great that you work has been flexible so that you still get quality time with Will. I keep you in my thoughts and prayers
Great to hear the good news. God really is good even though my typing is not. Glad to hear your work is being user friendly, but try not to work yourself into an exhausted heap between catching up on work and checking in on will.
Love
Evelyn
be sure to keep your tank full. Take care that you give your best to Jules she needs you the most as she is handling everthing while your at work. Also your relying on her. If your spiritual, emotional and physical tank is empty you will have nothing to give. Care for your self so you can care for others who need you.Grerat words from me when i came under similar stress i failed the test.I worked two jobs in the aftermath to pay bills. Colleen wanted to talk to me about it. Much to my shame i was so exhausted focussing on the wrong things i got one of her freinds to talk to her (current jargon would be debreifing). and i went to work i gave my best to an unfeeling corperate entity i should have given it to Colleen.

Harry and Julie, what a privilege to continue to pray for you and your family - all 3 kids as they all cope with this different from normal set of circumstances, and you guys as you encourage them and each other. Thank the Lord that HE is the ultimate encourager! Stay in the Word, keep your Bible handy as you sit by Will's bedside. Soak in the good words that can't help but penetrate to the soul. Be encouraged! God is right in there with you. Remember his faithfulness in the past! (Psalm 143)
Lots of love,
Debi and Michael
